چکیده
Materials composed of metals and plastic composites joined through adhesive bonding are being increasingly used. However, debonding such materials may occur during manufacture or use. Non-destructive testing structures is required to evaluate their debonding. Herein, electromagnetic pulse-induced acoustic (EPAT) was used detect at the joint in composite/metal specimens. EPAT uses a pulsed excitation current generate guided waves specimen without contact, which makes it suitable for from composite side. Simulations were performed analyze acrylic/aluminum (Al) carbon fiber-reinforced (CFRP)/Al The results showed that Lorentz force z direction dominant mechanism generation waves, mainly A0-mode Lamb wave excited. simulation experimental revealed specimens where mechanical parameters layer differed greatly those metal, as acrylic/Al specimen, could only be detected directly above Therefore, necessary position by scanning receiver sensor. Conversely, with reasonably similar metal layers, like CFRP/Al evaluated sensor coil.

Electromagnetic Wave Propagation in the Relativistic Regime
An electromagnetic wave is expected to propagate through an overdense plasma, provided that its amplitude is large enough to bring the electron motion into the relativistic regime. We study this induced transparency by using 1D and 2D particle simulations. We find that large chaotic longitudinal electric fields are generated and strong plasma heating takes place during the propagation. This beh...
متن کاملPulse Wave Propagation in the Arterial Tree
The beating heart creates blood pressure and flow pulsations that propagate as waves through the arterial tree that are reflected at transitions in arterial geometry and elasticity. Waves carry information about the matter in which they propagate. Therefore, modeling of arterial wave propagation extends our knowledge about the functioning of the cardiovascular system and provides a means to dia...

1. A Discrepancy and Its Resolution.-The problem of the propagation of radio-waves along the surface of the (plane) earth was first treated in a celebrated paper by A. Sommerfeld (1909).1 Let the (r, (p)-plane of a cylindric system of coordinates coincide with the plane of the earth surface and let the z-axis point vertically upward. Sommerfeld considered a vertically oscillating dipole (radio-...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Wave Propagation in Random Waveguides
Abstract. We study long range propagation of electromagnetic waves in random waveguides with rectangular cross-section and perfectly conducting boundaries. The waveguide is filled with an isotropic linear dielectric material, with randomly fluctuating electric permittivity. The fluctuations are weak, but they cause significant cumulative scattering over long distances of propagation of the wave...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Wave Propagation in Pulsar Magnetospheres
A new nonlinear electromagnetic wave mode in a magnetized plasma is predicted. Its existence depends on the interaction of an intense circularly polarized electromagnetic wave with a plasma, where quantum electrodynamical photon–photon scattering is taken into account. This scattering gives rise to a new coupling between the matter and the radiation. Specifically, we consider an electron–positr...
